SEE ALSO...

NR5A2 Antibody (B-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects NR5A2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-NR5A2 antibody (B-8) is available as the non-conjugated form. NR5A2, also known as nuclear receptor subfamily 5, group A, member 2, plays a crucial role in regulating gene expression related to lipid metabolism and adipogenesis, making NR5A2 vital for maintaining metabolic homeostasis. NR5A2 is predominantly located in the nucleus, where NR5A2 functions as a transcription factor that influences the expression of genes involved in the differentiation of pre-adipocytes into mature adipocytes. Proper functioning of NR5A2 is essential for regulating aromatase expression in adipose tissue, which affects estrogen biosynthesis and overall energy balance. NR5A2 is part of the fushi tarazu factor-1 subfamily of orphan nuclear receptors, with transcripts found abundantly in human ovary and testis, as well as in tissues of endodermal origin. NR5A2′s ability to interact with various co-regulators and other transcription factors further underscores NR5A2′s importance in metabolic processes and potential implications in obesity and related disorders.
