SEE ALSO...

NPRL2 Antibody (F-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects NPRL2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-NPRL2 antibody (F-3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. NPRL2, also known as tumor suppressor candidate 4 (TUSC4), is a 380 amino acid protein characterized by a bipartite nuclear localization signal and a granulin protein-binding domain, which are crucial for cellular processes. NPRL2 is predominantly expressed in skeletal muscle, with significant levels in brain, liver, and pancreas, while lower levels are found in lung, kidney, placenta, and heart. NPRL2 shows high expression in various lung cancer cell lines, suggesting a potential role in tumor suppression. NPRL2 participates in critical cellular mechanisms such as mismatch repair, cell cycle checkpoint signaling, and activation of apoptotic pathways, which are essential for maintaining genomic stability and preventing tumorigenesis. NPRL2 may enhance therapeutic efficacy of chemotherapy drugs like cisplatin by resensitizing resistant cancer cells, making NPRL2 a valuable target for cancer research and treatment strategies. NPRL2 gene is conserved across species and produces two isoforms due to alternative splicing, highlighting evolutionary significance and functional versatility.
