NPAS4 Antibody (4E4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects NPAS4 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-NPAS4 antibody (4E4) is available as the non-conjugated format. NPAS4, or neuronal PAS domain protein 4, is a crucial 802 amino acid nuclear protein that plays a significant role in the brain, where NPAS4 is exclusively expressed. NPAS4 functions as a transcriptional activator, particularly in the presence of Arnt 1, and activates the CNS midline enhancer element, which is vital for the expression of the Drebrin gene, a key player in synaptic plasticity and cognitive functions. NPAS4 involvement in the development and maintenance of neuronal pathways related to learning and memory makes NPAS4 a critical factor in neurodevelopmental processes.
