NOSTRIN Antibody (B-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects NOSTRIN protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). NOSTRIN (B-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. NOSTRIN, also known as nitric oxide synthase trafficker isoform 1, plays a crucial role in regulating nitric oxide (NO) production by facilitating endothelial nitric oxide synthase (NOS3) transport to specific cellular locations. NOSTRIN is predominantly expressed in vascular endothelial cells of highly vascularized tissues such as placenta, lung, kidney, and heart, where NOSTRIN is essential for maintaining vascular homeostasis. Structurally, NOSTRIN consists of an N-terminal Cdc15 domain, an FCH (Fes/CIP homology) region, two coiled-coil domains, and a C-terminal SH3 domain, typically existing as a trimer. NOSTRIN interaction with caveolin-1 and NOS3 forms a ternary complex vital for caveolar transport of NOS3, thereby influencing NO production, a key signaling molecule involved in various physiological processes, including vasodilation and neurotransmission. NOSTRIN also interacts with other proteins such as Dynamin and N-WASP, further underscoring NOSTRIN importance in cellular signaling pathways.
