SEE ALSO...

NOK Antibody (2H2F10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects NOK protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. NOK (2H2F10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. NOK protein, also known as STYK1 (serine/threonine/tyrosine kinase 1), is a single-pass membrane protein consisting of 422 amino acids and is a member of the protein kinase superfamily. NOK plays a crucial role in cellular signaling pathways, particularly in the regulation of cell proliferation, differentiation, and survival, making NOK significant in cancer biology. NOK is highly expressed in the brain, prostate, and placenta, while exhibiting lower expression levels in non-cancerous lung tissue. NOK overexpression in various cancers, including ovarian cancer, cervical cancer, and chronic myelogenous leukemia, underscores NOK′s potential as a biomarker and therapeutic target in oncology. A protein kinase domain within NOK allows participation in critical phosphorylation events, which are vital for modulating a wide array of cellular functions, including those related to tumorigenesis.

The MW of NOK is ~47kDa in Uniprot. Why is the band over 72kDa in the sample WB image? And what is deltaNOK?

Asked by: Teen
感谢您的提问。 我们在使用这支抗体做WB实验时,样本都是非正常样本。 请看对应WB图片下的描述。 泳道A是截断的蛋白样本,泳道B是转染过的细胞样本。 Thank you for your question. When we conducted WB, for A lane, the sample was truncated human recombinant NOK protein, for B lane, the sample was transfected CHO-K1 cells.

Can sc-81701: NOK (2H2F10) monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

Asked by: jerojero
Thank you for your question. Yes, sc-81701: NOK (2H2F10) is recommended for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
