SEE ALSO...

NLRC5 Antibody (B-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgM kappa light chain antibody that detects NLRC5 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-NLRC5 antibody (B-10) is available as the non-conjugated form. NLRC5, also known as NOD4 or NOD27, is a crucial 1,866 amino acid cytoplasmic protein that plays a significant role in regulating NF-kappa-B and type I/II interferon signaling pathways, essential for immune response and inflammation. NLRC5 contains one NACHT domain and 26 leucine-rich repeats (LRRs), structural motifs that facilitate protein-protein interactions and contribute to regulatory functions. These LRRs, which form a hydrophobic α/β horseshoe fold, are vital for recognizing and binding to various ligands, thereby influencing innate immunity and antiviral defense mechanisms. NLRC5 is expressed in several tissues, including brain, lung, thymus, heart, spleen, and prostate, and exists as six alternatively spliced isoforms, highlighting diverse functional roles in different biological contexts. NLRC5 gene is located on human chromosome 16, underscoring importance in genetic studies related to immune responses and potential therapeutic targets.

Is the NLRC5 (B-10): sc-515668 mouse monoclonal antibody cross-reactive to human NLRC5? In other words, in the figure with the WB shown above are the cell lines transfected with mouse Nlrc5 or this is the endogenous signal?

Asked by: Hristo
Thank you for your question. Yes, this antibody is reactive with mouse, rat and human NLRC5. The Western blot data shown is endogenous expression in the cell lines tested.

Hi,I am a student working with NLRC5 Antibody (sc-515668). The bands I got from Western Blotting are different from the datasheet. I got 3 bands, and they are about: 150kDa, 100kDa and 78kDa. Could you help me with this problem? Thank you very much!

Asked by: Yanan 123
Thank you for your question. According to Uniprot, NLRC5 has two predicted isoforms at 212 and 154 kDa. The observed molecular weight of the protein may be different than the predicted molecular weight due to post-translation modifications or alterations to the endogenous protein. Please contact our Technical Service Department for assistance in troubleshooting this antibody.
