NKp46 Antibody (n1D9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects NKp46 in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), flow cytometry (FCM), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). NKp46 is a crucial natural cytotoxicity receptor belonging to the immunoglobulin superfamily, predominantly expressed on all resting and activated natural killer (NK) cells, while absent in T and B cells. NKp46 plays a vital role in the immune response by facilitating the recognition and lysis of tumor cells, as well as cells infected by viruses such as influenza and parainfluenza. NKp46 is characterized by its structure as a type I transmembrane protein, consisting of a 304 amino acid extracellular region that includes two cysteine-bridged C2-type immunoglobulin-like domains, linked to a 19 amino acid transmembrane domain rich in arginine. The unique structural features of NKp46 enable receptor engagement with target cells effectively, allowing NK cells to eliminate virus-infected and malignant cells without prior antigen stimulation. Anti-NKp46 antibody (n1D9) serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying the mechanisms of natural cytotoxicity and the role of NK cells in immune surveillance.
