NKCC2 Antibody (4H4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects NKCC2 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-NKCC2 antibody (4H4) is available as a non-conjugated monoclonal isotype antibody. NKCC2 plays a crucial role in the kidney, specifically in the thick ascending limb of the loop of Henle, where NKCC2 is responsible for active reabsorption of sodium and chloride ions. This function is vital for maintaining electrolyte balance and blood pressure regulation in the body. The gene encoding human NKCC2 is located on chromosome 15q15-q21, and mutations in this gene can lead to Bartter′s syndrome, a genetic disorder characterized by hypokalemic alkalosis and metabolic imbalances. NKCC2 is sensitive to diuretics such as furosemide and bumetanide, which are commonly used in clinical settings to manage conditions like hypertension and edema. Understanding NKCC2 function and regulation is essential for developing targeted therapies for renal disorders and improving patient outcomes.

For Western Blot, is it recommended to use denatured or non-denatured conditions with NKCC2 (4H4): sc-293222 antibody?
