NK 2B4 Antibody (HD2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects NK 2B4 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-NK 2B4 antibody (HD2) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. NK 2B4, also known as CD244, plays a crucial role in the immune response by regulating the activity of natural killer (NK) cells and certain T lymphocytes, which are essential for targeting and eliminating tumor cells and virally infected cells. NK 2B4 is primarily located on the surface of NK cells and a subset of T cells, facilitating interactions with CD48 ligand, which is expressed on various immune cells. NK 2B4 expression on these cells is vital for coordinating immune responses, as NK 2B4 helps modulate the cytolytic activity of NK cells through receptor-ligand signaling pathways. NK 2B4 also interacts with signaling lymphocyte activation molecule (SLAM)-associated protein (SAP), which is involved in the regulation of downstream signaling cascades that influence NK cell function. NK 2B4 expression is observed in human tissues such as the spleen, peripheral blood leukocytes, lymph nodes, bone marrow, and fetal liver, highlighting NK 2B4′s importance in both innate and adaptive immunity.
