SEE ALSO...

NF-YA Antibody (G-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects NF-YA protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-NF-YA antibody (G-2) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. NF-YA plays a crucial role in gene regulation as a component of the CCAAT-binding factor NF-Y, which is a heteromeric transcription factor essential for binding to CCAAT sequences in numerous eukaryotic genes. NF-YA (G-2) antibody targets a protein that forms a stable complex with NF-YB and NF-YC, which is necessary for effective DNA binding and transcriptional activation. This complex is highly conserved across species, with the DNA binding domains of NF-YB and NF-YC exhibiting a unique protein-protein interaction through a histone-fold "handshake" motif, reminiscent of the interactions seen in histone proteins. Such structural conservation underscores the fundamental role of NF-YA in regulating gene expression, making NF-YA an important target for studies related to cellular growth, differentiation, and response to environmental signals.

I need to test the Antibody on western and immunofluorescence. Can I get the 10ug sample to test and then probably I will order the Antobody.

Asked by: Deepankar
Thank you for your question. Please contact Technical Service or your local distributor for information on how to receive a free 10 ug sample of this monoclonal antibody.

When should the TransCruz reagent sc-17753 X be used instead of the standard form sc-17753?

Asked by: Trav11
Thank you for your question. We recommend using the TransCruz reagent form when performing ChIP or GelShift assays. This form can also be used in other applications such as Western Blot or IHC, but the dilution should be adjusted by a factor of 10 to account for the higher original concentration.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good antibody for many applicationsWe had very good results with this antibody in Western blotting, ChIP; and IP in mouse leukemic B cell lines stably expressing the BCR-ABL oncogene. We attach a Western blot and an IP. For Western blotting and IP controls we loaded 50 ug protein and used 1:2000 dilution of the antibody for detection. For IP we started with 1ug protein and corresponding amount of antibody according to the data sheet.
