Neurogenin 3 Antibody (E-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Neurogenin 3 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Neurogenin 3 antibody (E-8) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Neurogenin 3, a member of the basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) superfamily, plays a crucial role in the early differentiation of pancreatic islet cells, specifically in the formation of the four distinct cell types within the islets of Langerhans. Neurogenin 3 is primarily expressed in developing neurons and embryonic pancreatic tissues, where Neurogenin 3 acts as a transcriptional regulator that influences cell fate decisions. Neurogenin 3 activates the expression of Neuro D, a key factor in islet cell differentiation, through specific regulatory sequences in the Neuro D promoter.
