NELL2 Antibody (E-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects NELL2 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-NELL2 antibody (E-9) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. NELL2, or neural epidermal growth factor-like 2, is a secreted glycoprotein characterized by its unique structure, which includes one N-terminal thrombospondin-like domain, five von Willebrand factor C domains, and six epidermal growth factor-like repeats that facilitate calcium binding. This intricate structure enables NELL2 to participate in calcium-dependent intracellular signaling pathways, particularly in neurons where NELL2 is predominantly expressed. NELL2 exists as a homotrimer associated with the endoplasmic reticulum, highlighting NELL2′s role in cellular processes such as growth and differentiation. Additionally, NELL2 may function as a trophic factor, further emphasizing NELL2′s importance in neurobiology. An alternative isoform of NELL2, which lacks the signal peptide necessary for secretion, remains in the cytosol and interacts with protein kinase C beta I, showcasing the diverse functional roles of NELL2 within the cell.
