    SEE ALSO...

NDUFS4 Antibody (A-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects NDUFS4 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). NDUFS4 (A-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. NDUFS4, also known as NADH dehydrogenase (ubiquinone) Fe-S protein 4, plays a crucial role as an accessory subunit of Complex I in the mitochondrial inner membrane, which is essential for cellular respiration. Complex I is responsible for transferring electrons from NADH to ubiquinone, a process that not only facilitates the generation of an electrochemical proton gradient but also drives ATP synthesis, making NDUFS4 vital for energy production in cells. Complex I′s intricate structure, composed of at least 45 different subunits, underscores the complexity of its function and the importance of each component, including NDUFS4, in maintaining mitochondrial health. Mutations in NDUFS4 can lead to severe mitochondrial respiratory chain deficiencies, resulting in a range of clinical manifestations such as cardiomyopathy, myopathy, liver failure, and neurological disorders, highlighting NDUFS4′s significance in human health and disease.
