NDUFA10 Antibody (A-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects NDUFA10 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-NDUFA10 antibody (A-8) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. NDUFA10, also known as NADH dehydrogenase (ubiquinone) 1 alpha subcomplex, 10 or CI-42KD, is a 355 amino acid protein that resides in the mitochondrial matrix, where NDUFA10 serves as an essential accessory subunit of the mitochondrial membrane respiratory chain NADH dehydrogenase complex I. This complex facilitates the transfer of electrons from NADH to the respiratory chain, a process vital for ATP production and overall cellular energy metabolism. NDUFA10 interactions with other proteins within the complex ensure efficient electron transfer and maintain mitochondrial health. Mutations in the genes encoding components of this complex can lead to severe mitochondrial disorders, highlighting NDUFA10′s importance in cellular energy dynamics. The gene encoding NDUFA10 is located on human chromosome 2, which contains over 1,400 genes and represents nearly 8% of the human genome, underscoring NDUFA10′s significance in genetic regulation and potential implications in various diseases.
