NAT-1/2 Antibody (A-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects Arylamine N-acetyltransferase-1/2 (NAT-1/2) in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). NAT-1/2 plays a crucial role in the detoxification of a diverse range of drugs by catalyzing the N- or O-acetylation of heterocyclic and arylamine substrates, which is vital for reducing the potential toxicity of these compounds. Human NAT-1 serves as the functional homolog of rodent NAT-2, while human NAT-2 corresponds to rodent NAT-1, underscoring the evolutionary conservation of these enzymes across species.
