    SEE ALSO...

Nanos1 Antibody (5F12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Nanos1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Nanos1 antibody (5F12) is available as the non-conjugated form. Nanos1, also known as NOS1, is a crucial 292 amino acid protein that plays a significant role in the regulation of germline stem cells, primarily by localizing to the perinuclear region of the cytoplasm and containing a nanos-type zinc finger. Nanos1 is highly expressed in spermatogonia and is present at lower levels in fetal ovaries, where Nanos1 forms a complex with Pumilio 2 to regulate the translation of specific mRNAs through interaction with the 3′-untranslated region of target mRNAs. Nanos1 plays an essential function in preventing premature entry into oogenesis, thereby ensuring the proper establishment and maintenance of germline stem cells. The gene encoding Nanos1 is located on human chromosome 10, a region that contains over 1,200 genes and is implicated in various genetic disorders, including Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease and multiple endocrine neoplasia type 2. With a critical role in stem cell biology and potential implications in developmental disorders, anti-Nanos1 antibody (5F12) serves as a valuable tool for researchers studying germline development and related pathways.

Why not detection of endogenous protein is not shown in the datasheet? It is strange for me the polyclonal one was shown to detect endogenous NANOS1 but this antibody only with exogenous.

    Asked by: Erkut
Thank you for your question. This mouse monoclonal, Nanos1 Antibody (5F12): sc-293352, is a new product and we have not yet completed our evaluation of the antibody using cell lines expressing endogenous Nanos1. We do warranty the antibody for detection of endogenous protein in mouse, rat and human samples. If you purchase the antibody and it does not work as expected, please contact our Technical Service Department and we would be happy to replace the antibody, or refund your purchase. Our warranty is applicable for one year from the date of purchase.

For Western Blot, is it recommended to use denatured or non-denatured conditions with Nanos1 (5F12): sc-293352 antibody?

    Asked by: Trav11
Thank you for your question. We recommend this antibody for use in denatured Western Blot conditions. It has not been validated for use in non-denatured conditions. Please contact our Technical Service Department for further details or inquiries.
