NALP14 Antibody (H-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects NALP14 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). NALP14 (H-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. NALP14, also known as NACHT, LRR and PYD domains-containing protein 14, is a testis-specific nucleotide-binding protein that plays a crucial role in immune response. NALP14 is a member of the NLRP family and features a unique structure comprising one DAPIN domain, eleven leucine-rich repeats, and one NACHT domain, which are essential for function as an intracellular receptor involved in innate immunity. NALP14 has been implicated in spermatogenesis and functions as a component of the inflammasome, a multi-protein complex that activates inflammatory responses. The inflammasome forms through assembly of a NALP member and an ASC adapter, which is critical for recruiting caspase-1, an enzyme that processes pro-inflammatory cytokines. NALP14′s ability to interact with various microbial, foreign, and endogenous stimuli highlights its importance in maintaining immune homeostasis and responding to cellular stress.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-398068 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Dr Ninau Qelp
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
