    SEE ALSO...

Myozenin 2 Antibody (G-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Myozenin 2 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Myozenin 2, also known as calsarcin-1, plays a crucial role in muscle function regulation by serving as a key component in the signaling pathway that connects calcineurin, a calcium- and calmodulin-dependent protein phosphatase, to the structural framework of muscle cells. Myozenin 2 is primarily located at the Z-line of the sarcomere, where anti-Myozenin 2 antibody (G-2) can detect binding to calcineurin and α-actinin, facilitating the modulation of gene expression related to slow fiber development in skeletal muscle and hypertrophy in cardiac muscle. Precise localization of Myozenin 2 is vital for maintaining structural integrity and functional capacity of muscle tissues, particularly during embryonic development and in adult cardiac and slow-twitch skeletal muscle. Myozenin 2 gene maps to chromosome 4q and specifically expresses in adult cardiac and slow-twitch skeletal muscle, distinguishing Myozenin 2 from Myozenin 1, which predominantly appears in fast skeletal muscle. This specificity underscores Myozenin 2′s importance in muscle physiology and potential implications in muscle-related diseases, making Myozenin 2 (G-2) antibody an essential tool for researchers studying muscle biology and pathology.
