Myosin If Antibody (B-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Myosin If protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Myosin If antibody (B-5) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Myosin If (MYO1F), also known as Myosin-Ie, is an unconventional myosin playing a critical role in cellular processes, particularly in the cochlea, where MYO1F is essential for hearing. MYO1F gene encodes a 1098 amino acid protein located on chromosome 19p13.3-13.2 and contributes to organelle and vesicle transport within cells, maintaining cellular architecture and function. Myosin If′s unique structure, consisting of a hexamer formed by two heavy chains and four light chains, enables interaction with actin filaments, facilitating cellular movements such as cytokinesis and phagocytosis. Myosin If′s role is vital, as dysregulation can lead to hearing impairments and other cellular dysfunctions, highlighting MYO1F′s importance in both health and disease.
