MYBBP1A Antibody (170C2R) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects MYBBP1A protein of human origin by western blotting (WB). Anti-MYBBP1A antibody (170C2R) is available as a non-conjugated format. MYBBP1A, also known as MYB binding protein (P160) 1a or P160, is a 1,328 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in regulating gene expression by interacting with sequence-specific DNA binding proteins, such as c-Jun and c-Myb. This interaction enables MYBBP1A to modulate transcriptional activity, influencing cellular processes like growth, differentiation, and stress response. MYBBP1A is predominantly localized in both nucleus and cytoplasm, with shuttling between these compartments enabling dynamic responses to cellular signals and context-dependent gene expression regulation. MYBBP1A exists as two alternatively spliced isoforms and shares 80% sequence identity with its mouse counterpart, indicating conserved function across species. Given MYBBP1A′s involvement in transcriptional regulation, this protein may play a role in tumor transformation and metastasis, making MYBBP1A an important target for cancer biology research.
