Mucin 4 Antibody (8G7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Mucin 4 in human samples through western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. Mucin 4 is a crucial membrane-bound glycoprotein that plays a significant role in cellular signaling and protection, particularly in the urothelium, where Mucin 4 is predominantly expressed. Mucin 4 is composed of two subunits: Mucin 4α, which is a large amino mucin type subunit, and Mucin 4β, a transmembrane subunit featuring three EGF-like domains.
