MTP Antibody (D-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects microsomal triglyceride transfer protein (MTP) in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-MTP antibody (D-4) plays a crucial role in understanding lipid metabolism, as MTP is essential for the transport of cholesteryl esters, triglycerides, and phospholipids between phospholipid surfaces, facilitating the secretion of plasma lipoproteins that contain apolipoprotein B.
