MTMR5 Antibody (B-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects MTMR5 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MTMR5 (B-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. MTMR5 protein is a member of the myotubularin family, which consists of eukaryotic phosphatases that play a crucial role in lipid metabolism by hydrolyzing phosphoinositides, specifically Phosphatidylinositol 3-phosphate and Phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate. This enzymatic activity is vital for cellular processes such as membrane trafficking and signal transduction. MTMR5 is known to interact with MTMR2, enhancing enzymatic activity and influencing localization within the cell. Dysregulation of these interactions can lead to significant pathophysiological conditions, such as Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, highlighting MTMR5′s importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis and nerve function. With broad species reactivity and versatile applications, anti-MTMR5 antibody (B-9) is an essential tool for researchers studying the intricate roles of myotubularins in cellular signaling and disease mechanisms.
