MTAP Antibody (42-T) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects MTAP protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-MTAP antibody (42-T) is available as a non-conjugated antibody. The 5′-Deoxy-5′-methylthioadenosine phosphorylase (MTAP) protein plays a crucial role in polyamine metabolism and the salvage pathways for adenine and methionine, which are vital for cellular growth and function. Located in the cytoplasm, MTAP is essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis and regulating polyamine levels, which are important for cell proliferation and differentiation.
