MSP58 Antibody (B-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody that detects MSP58 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-MSP58 antibody (B-5) is available as the non-conjugated form. MSP58 protein, also known as microspherule protein 1 (MCRS1), P78, or INO80Q, is a 462 amino acid protein predominantly localized in the nucleus, where MSP58 plays a crucial role in cellular processes. Notably, MSP58 is expressed at high levels during the S phase of the cell cycle and is found in various tissues, including the testis, prostate, thymus, spleen, and colon. One of the key functions of MSP58 is modulating the transcriptional activity of Daxx, a known transcriptional repressor, by facilitating recruitment to the nucleolus. This interaction suggests MSP58 may influence gene expression patterns critical for cell cycle regulation and cellular differentiation. Additionally, MSP58 has been implicated in the inhibition of TERT telomerase activity, highlighting a potential role in maintaining genomic stability and regulating cellular aging.
