Datasheets
  • MSH2 Antibody (E-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 κ, cited in 3 publications, provided at 200 µg/ml
  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 2-28 at the N-terminus of MSH2 of human origin
  • recommended for detection of MSH2 of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA; also reactive with additional species, including canine
  • m-IgG3 BP-HRP and m-IgGκ BP-HRP are the preferred secondary detection reagents for MSH2 Antibody (E-7) for WB applications. These reagents are now offered in bundles with MSH2 Antibody (E-7) (see ordering information below).

SEE ALSO...

MSH2 Antibody (E-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 antibody that detects MSH2 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MSH2 plays a crucial role in the DNA mismatch repair (MMR) pathway, which is essential for maintaining genomic stability by correcting errors that occur during DNA replication. MSH2 (E-7) antibody enables detection of deficiencies that can lead to an accumulation of mutations, contributing to the development of various cancers, including hereditary nonpolyposis colorectal cancer (HNPCC). MSH2 forms a heterodimer with MSH6 or MSH3 to recognize and bind to mismatched DNA, initiating the repair process. The significance of MSH2 in cancer biology is underscored by mutations in this gene being prevalent in HNPCC and observed in a range of other malignancies, indicating broader implications in tumorigenesis. Anti-MSH2 antibody (E-7) serves as an invaluable tool for researchers investigating the mechanisms of DNA repair and MSH2′s role in cancer development.
