    SEE ALSO...

MRP-L3 Antibody (B-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects MRP-L3 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MRP-L3 (B-3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. MRP-L3, also known as mitochondrial 39S ribosomal protein L3 or L3mt, is a crucial component of the mitochondrial ribosome, which is essential for protein synthesis within the mitochondrion. This 348 amino acid protein belongs to the ribosomal protein L3P family and is localized to the mitochondria, specifically within the 39S subunit of the mitoribosomes. The unique structure of MRP-L3, along with its interaction with other mitochondrial ribosomal proteins, plays a vital role in the assembly and function of the mitoribosome, which is critical for the translation of mitochondrial mRNA into proteins necessary for cellular respiration and energy production. The distinct composition of mitochondrial ribosomes, which consists of a 4:1 ratio of protein to RNA, highlights the importance of MRP-L3 in maintaining mitochondrial function and overall cellular health.

What blocking solution should I use with MRP-L3 (B-3): sc-514217 monoclonal antibody for Western blot?

    Asked by: jerojero
Thank you for your question. We recommend blocking with Blotto (either TBS Blotto A: sc-2333 or TBS Blotto B: sc-2335). Our Western blot protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/western-immuno-blotting
