mrnp41 Antibody (A-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects mrnp41 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-mrnp41 antibody (A-12) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. mrnp41, also known as Rae1 protein homolog and mRNA export factor, is a 368 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in binding and transporting mRNA from nucleus to cytoplasm. This function is vital for gene expression regulation, ensuring proper mRNA export for translation into proteins, thereby influencing cellular function and response to environmental signals. mrnp41 localizes at the nuclear pore complex within the nuclear envelope, where mrnp41′s role as a nuclear exporter prevents accumulation of poly(A)-containing mRNA in the nucleus, which can disrupt normal cellular processes. mrnp41 interacts with Nup98 to regulate E-cadherin, a key component in the anaphase-promoting complex, suggesting a potential role in maintaining chromosomal stability during cell division. During mitosis, mrnp41 and NuMA are essential for bipolar spindle formation, highlighting mrnp41′s importance in ensuring accurate cell division and genomic integrity.
