    SEE ALSO...

MPP10 Antibody (TJ-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects MPP10 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-MPP10 antibody (TJ-1) is available as the non-conjugated format. MPP10, also known as M-phase phosphoprotein 10 or MPHOSPH10, is a 681 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in ribosomal RNA processing, specifically during the M phase of the cell cycle. MPP10 is localized to the fibrillar region of the nucleolus, where phosphorylation occurs to become a key component of the 60-80S U3 small nucleolar ribonucleoprotein (U3 snoRNP) complex. This complex is essential for the early cleavages during pre-18S ribosomal RNA processing, highlighting MPP10′s importance in the synthesis of ribosomes, which are vital for protein production in all living cells. MPP10 forms a heterotrimeric complex with IMP-3 and IMP-4, which may facilitate interaction with other nucleolar components, thereby influencing ribosome biogenesis. The gene encoding MPP10 is located on human chromosome 2, a chromosome that contains over 500 genes and is associated with various genetic disorders, including Phelan-McDermid syndrome and Neurofibromatosis type 2. MPP10′s ability to interact with specific proteins and involvement in critical cellular processes make MPP10 a significant target for research in cell biology and disease mechanisms.

I am using MPP10 (TJ-1): sc-81847 for immunofluorescence, what dilution of this antibody should I use?

    Asked by: Cweed
Thank you for your question. We recommend a starting dilution of 1:50. However, optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration. Please find our full immunofluorescence protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunofluorescence-cell-staining
