MPHOSPH8 Antibody (C-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects MPHOSPH8 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-MPHOSPH8 antibody (C-8) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. MPHOSPH8, also known as M-phase phosphoprotein 8, is an 860 amino acid nuclear protein that plays a critical role during the M (mitotic) phase of the cell cycle, where MPHOSPH8 undergoes phosphorylation. This post-translational modification is essential for regulating MPHOSPH8′s function, as MPHOSPH8 is involved in the orchestration of cell division and may influence the activity of various cell cycle regulators. MPHOSPH8 contains four ankyrin repeats, which are structural motifs commonly associated with protein-protein interactions, suggesting MPHOSPH8′s potential role in forming complexes with other proteins, such as Muskelin and RanBP-M, a GTPase that is crucial for numerous cellular processes. The gene encoding MPHOSPH8 is located on chromosome 13 and gives rise to two isoforms through alternative splicing, highlighting the complexity and regulatory mechanisms governing MPHOSPH8′s expression and function in cellular dynamics.
