Mox1 Antibody (C-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Mox1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Mox1 (C-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Mox1 plays a crucial role in regulating reactive oxygen species, particularly in non-phagocytic cells, and shares close relation to glycoprotein gp91 phox, a key component of NADPH oxidase complex. NADPH oxidase complex generates superoxide, a reactive molecule involved in various cellular signaling pathways and immune responses. Mox1 shows predominant expression in colon, with lower levels in uterus and prostate, and demonstrates upregulation in vascular smooth muscle cells responding to platelet-derived growth factor stimulation. Such expression patterns suggest Mox1′s regulatory role in NADPH oxidase activity, particularly where reactive oxygen species are critical for cellular signaling and adaptation to hypoxic conditions. Distinct expression patterns of Mox1 and gp91 phox indicate potential functional divergence, with Mox1 possibly serving as a modulator of oxidative stress responses in specific tissues.
