Datasheets
  • MOR-1 Antibody (D-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgM κ MOR-1 antibody, cited in 6 publications, provided at 200 µg/ml
  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 26-50 within an extracellular domain of MOR-1 of human origin
  • recommended for detection of MOR-1 of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA
  • m-IgGκ BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for MOR-1 Antibody (D-12) for WB applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with MOR-1 Antibody (D-12) (see ordering information below). For additional m-IgGκ BP conjugates see our complete list of Mouse IgG Binding Proteins.

SEE ALSO...

MOR-1 Antibody (D-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgM kappa light chain antibody that detects MOR-1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MOR-1 (D-12) antibody is available as the non-conjugated form. MOR-1 protein, also known as the mu-opioid receptor, plays a crucial role in mediating the effects of endogenous opioid peptides and exogenous opiates, such as morphine, by functioning as a receptor for beta-endorphin. MOR-1 is primarily located in the central nervous system and is integral to the modulation of pain, reward, and addictive behaviors. MOR-1′s location in the cell is underscored by involvement in the inhibition of neurotransmitter release, which is achieved through the activation of G protein-coupled signaling pathways that reduce calcium ion influx and enhance potassium ion conductance. This mechanism not only influences instinctive behaviors and emotional responses but also highlights the therapeutic potential of targeting MOR-1 in pain management and addiction treatment. The identification of MOR-1, along with homologous counterparts DOR-1 and KOR-1, has significantly advanced our understanding of the opioid receptor superfamily and its diverse physiological roles.
