    SEE ALSO...

MOCS1 Antibody (G-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects MOCS1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MOCS1 (G-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. MOCS1, also known as molybdenum cofactor synthesis 1, plays a crucial role in the biosynthesis of molybdenum cofactor and molybdopterin, which are essential for the activity of several key enzymes involved in carbon, nitrogen, and sulfur metabolism. MOCS1 is located in the cytoplasm and facilitates the proper functioning of enzymes that catalyze important biochemical transformations. MOCS1 exists as eight widely expressed isoforms, with MOCS1A and MOCS1B forming a heterooligomer, and mutations in the MOCS1 gene can lead to molybdenum cofactor deficiency type A, a severe autosomal recessive disorder characterized by neurological damage and early childhood mortality. The conservation of the molybdenum cofactor biosynthetic pathway across different organisms underscores MOCS1′s fundamental importance in metabolic processes, making anti-MOCS1 antibody (G-6) an invaluable tool for researchers studying these critical pathways.
