Mnt Antibody (F-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Mnt protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Mnt antibody (F-11) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Mnt protein, also known as Max binding protein, MAD6, ROX, or MXD6, is a crucial 582 amino acid nuclear protein that plays a significant role in transcriptional regulation by forming a complex with Max (Myc-associated factor X) to repress target gene expression. This repression maintains cellular homeostasis and prevents uncontrolled cell proliferation, which can lead to tumorigenesis. Mnt contains a basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) domain, essential for interaction with Max and other transcription factors, influencing various cellular processes, including differentiation and apoptosis. Mnt gene is located on human chromosome 17p13.3, a region harboring important tumor suppressor genes such as p53 and BRCA1, both critical for DNA repair and maintaining genomic stability. Mnt′s interplay with these tumor suppressors highlights its importance in cancer biology, as dysregulation can contribute to malignancy development.
