MN1 Antibody (A-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects MN1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-MN1 antibody (A-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The MN1 gene, located on chromosome 22, encodes a 1,319 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in transcriptional regulation and cellular differentiation. MN1 (A-4) monoclonal antibody has proven valuable in studying MN1′s involvement in myeloid leukemia through fusion with the ETV6/TEL gene, resulting in the MN1-TEL fusion protein, which acts as a potent transcription factor with transforming activity. This fusion protein is associated with the translocation (12;22)(p13;q11), highlighting MN1′s importance in oncogenesis. Additionally, defects in the MN1 gene have been implicated in the pathogenesis of meningiomas, which are slowly growing benign tumors arising from the arachnoidal cap cells of the leptomeninges, the protective membranes covering the brain and spinal cord. MN1 (A-4) antibody′s ability to effectively detect MN1 across multiple species and applications makes this reagent an invaluable tool for researchers studying its role in cancer and cellular processes.
