MLSN1 Antibody (F-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects MLSN1 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MLSN1 (F-3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. MLSN1, also known as melastatin, is a 1,533 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in regulating calcium ion transport across cell membranes, as part of the transient receptor potential (Trp) calcium channel family. This function is particularly important in melanocytes, where proper calcium signaling is essential for maintaining normal cellular functions and preventing uncontrolled proliferation. MLSN1 expression is inversely correlated with the proliferation of melanocytic tumors, indicating that adequate levels can inhibit aggressive growth of malignant melanoma. Downregulation of MLSN1 transcripts in malignant melanomas, including primary cutaneous tumors, serves as a significant marker for metastasis, often occurring independently of tumor thickness. anti-MLSN1 antibody (F-3) is a valuable tool for researchers studying melanoma biology and underlying mechanisms of tumor progression.

I am using the LiCor/Odyssey system. Which secondary antibody do you recommend using with MLSN1 (F-3): sc-515228?

Asked by: Randy McDonald
We recommend using one of our our exclusive Mouse IgG Binding Proteins conjugated to CFL 680 or CFL 790. They are suitable for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR/Odyssey and other comparable systems. A complete list of available binding proteins is available on our website here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/browse/support-products-mouse-igg-binding-proteins/_/N-ecrety
