MLL4 Antibody (1F6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects MLL4 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-MLL4 antibody (1F6) is available as a non-conjugated monoclonal isotype antibody. MLL4 plays a crucial role as a histone methyltransferase, specifically targeting lysine 4 of histone H3 (H3K4), which is essential for the regulation of gene expression and chromatin remodeling. This function is particularly important in the context of development and cellular differentiation, as aberrations in H3K4 methylation can lead to various malignancies, including leukemia. MLL4 is part of the mixed lineage leukemia (MLL) gene family, which is known for involvement in epigenetic regulation and has been implicated in several types of cancer. MLL4 interacts with other proteins, such as the activating signal cointegrator-2 (ASC-2), which enhances the trimethylation of H3K4 and influences the expression of genes regulated by liver X receptors (LXR). Given its significant role in gene regulation and association with cancer, MLL4 is a vital target for research in understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying tumorigenesis and potential therapeutic interventions.
