MISR II Antibody (D-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects MISR II of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MISR II (D-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. MISR II, also known as the anti-Muellerian hormone type-2 receptor, is a 573 amino acid protein encoded by the AMHR2 gene in humans. MISR II is a member of the protein kinase superfamily and specifically belongs to the TKL Ser/Thr protein kinase family and the TGFB receptor subfamily, featuring a single protein kinase domain. Upon binding with its ligand, MISR II forms a receptor complex that includes two type II and two type I transmembrane serine/threonine kinases. The type II receptors phosphorylate and activate the type I receptors, which then undergo autophosphorylation and subsequently bind to and activate Smad transcriptional regulators, playing a crucial role in the regulation of various developmental processes. Defects in the AMHR2 gene are associated with persistent Muellerian duct syndrome type 2 (PMDS-2), a condition characterized by male pseudohermaphroditism due to the failure of Muellerian duct regression in otherwise normal males, highlighting the significance of MISR II in reproductive development and function.
