MIRAB13 Antibody (F-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects MIRAB13 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MIRAB13 (F-3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. MIRAB13 protein, also known as molecule interacting with Rab13 or MICAL-like 1, is a crucial cytoplasmic protein composed of 863 amino acids and belongs to the MICAL family. MIRAB13 features a calponin-homology domain, a LIM zinc-binding domain, and two unique asparagine-proline-phenylalanine motifs that facilitate interactions with EH-domains. MIRAB13 plays a significant role in cytoskeletal regulation by associating with Rab 13, a protein integral to tight junctions, and EHD, which is essential for ligand-induced endocytosis and recycling processes. MIRAB13 is encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 22, a region associated with various genetic disorders, including Phelan-McDermid syndrome, Neurofibromatosis type 2, autism, and schizophrenia, highlighting potential implications in developmental and neuropsychiatric conditions.
