SEE ALSO...

MGRN1 Antibody (LM-1A33) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects MGRN1 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-MGRN1 antibody (LM-1A33) is available as a non-conjugated format. MGRN1, also known as mahogunin or RNF156, is a 552 amino acid protein characterized by the presence of a RING-type zinc finger motif, which is crucial for functioning as an E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase. This motif allows MGRN1 to facilitate the transfer of ubiquitin from an E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme to specific substrate proteins, marking them for degradation via the ubiquitin-proteasome pathway. MGRN1′s ability to undergo autoubiquitination is significant, as this process regulates degradation and plays a vital role in maintaining cellular homeostasis. Additionally, MGRN1 is involved in various cellular processes, including the modulation of signaling pathways and the response to stress, making MGRN1 an important player in cellular regulation. Notably, four isoforms of MGRN1 arise from alternative splicing, which may contribute to functional diversity and regulatory mechanisms within the cell.
