    SEE ALSO...

MGC70857 Antibody (G-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects MGC70857 protein of human origin, C030006K11Rik protein of mouse origin, and the corresponding rat homolog by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-MGC70857 antibody (G-5) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. MGC70857 protein, encoded by the C8orf82 gene located on chromosome 8, plays a crucial role in cellular processes, although specific function remains to be fully elucidated. Notably, chromosome 8 is associated with several significant health conditions, including various leukemias and lymphomas due to translocations involving the c-Myc gene, which are often linked to poor prognoses. Abnormalities in chromosome 8, such as trisomy 8, can lead to developmental disorders and syndromes, highlighting the importance of understanding MGC70857 protein′s role in cellular mechanisms and potential implications in disease. Characterization of C8orf82/MGC70857 gene product is ongoing, and further studies may reveal interactions with other proteins, which could provide insights into biological significance and potential therapeutic targets.
