MFAP3L Antibody (C-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects MFAP3L of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MFAP3L (C-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. MFAP3L, also known as microfibrillar-associated protein 3-like or HSD39, plays a crucial role in the structural integrity of the extracellular matrix, particularly in the testis, where MFAP3L is predominantly expressed. MFAP3L is a single-pass type I cell membrane protein consisting of 409 amino acids and features an immunoglobulin-like domain, which is essential for interactions with other extracellular matrix components. MFAP3L expression is vital for normal testicular development and function, and MFAP3L dysregulation may contribute to reproductive disorders. Encoded by a gene located on chromosome 4, MFAP3L undergoes alternative splicing, resulting in three isoforms that may have distinct functional roles. Chromosome 4 is significant not only for housing MFAP3L but also for containing genes associated with various conditions, including Huntington′s disease and achondroplasia, highlighting the importance of this genomic region in both health and disease.
