Mesothelin Antibody (G-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects human Mesothelin through western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Mesothelin antibody (G-1) comes in non-conjugated forms and various conjugates, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® options. Mesothelin is a glycosylphosphatidylinositol-linked cell-surface protein mainly expressed in mesothelial lining of body cavities and shows significant overexpression in several malignancies, including ovarian cancers and mesotheliomas. Mesothelin functions in cell adhesion and signaling, maintaining tissue integrity and facilitating cellular communication. Mesothelin serves as a notable tumor-associated antigen, particularly in serous papillary, endometrioid, and undifferentiated ovarian cancers, as well as pancreatic cancers. Mesothelin immunoreactivity appears in various other cancers, though less frequently, such as adenocarcinomas of the endometrium, lung, and stomach/esophagus. In adult mouse tissues, Mesothelin transcripts exist in the lung, heart, spleen, liver, kidney, and testis, highlighting diverse biological roles and potential as a therapeutic target in oncology.
