Mesothelin Antibody (C-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects mesothelin in human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Mesothelin is a glycosylphosphatidylinositol-linked cell-surface molecule predominantly expressed in mesothelial lining of body cavities and is notably overexpressed in several tumor types, particularly ovarian cancers and mesotheliomas. Mesothelin plays a crucial role in cell adhesion and signaling, which is vital for maintaining tissue integrity and facilitating cellular communication. Mesothelin′s aberrant expression in tumors highlights potential as a biomarker for cancer diagnosis and a target for therapeutic interventions. Mesothelin immunoreactivity is particularly pronounced in serous papillary, endometrioid, and undifferentiated ovarian cancers, as well as pancreatic cancers, while lower levels are observed in adenocarcinomas of endometrium, lung, and stomach/esophagus. In adult mouse tissues, mesothelin transcript is found in lung, heart, spleen, liver, kidney, and testis, indicating widespread biological significance. Anti-mesothelin antibody (C-2) is an essential tool for researchers investigating mesothelin′s role in cancer biology and potential as a therapeutic target.

I am using Mesothelin (C-2): sc-365324 monoclonal antibody to stain paraffin embedded tissue. Do you recommend antigen retrieval when using this antibody?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from specific bandI didn't got target band at beginning.The Santa cruz technical support gave us very good suggestions.The suggestions make good sense.I followed the advice loading 60ug protein and use the 1:200 conceration.I got the target band at 43kda .
