SEE ALSO...

MEK kinase-1 Antibody (F-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects MEK kinase-1 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MEK kinase-1 (F-11) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. MEK kinase-1 plays a crucial role in mitogen-activated protein (MAP) kinase signaling pathways, which are essential for cellular responses to growth factors and other extracellular signals. MEK kinase-1 is responsible for phosphorylating and activating MAP2K1 and MAP2K4, leading to the activation of extracellular signal-regulated kinases (ERK) and c-Jun NH(2)-terminal kinase (JNK) pathways. This activation regulates various cellular processes, including proliferation, differentiation, and survival. MEK kinase-1 is involved in the NFκB signaling pathway, where MEK kinase-1 activates central protein kinases such as CHUK and IKBKB, thereby influencing inflammatory responses and cell survival. MEK kinase-1′s ability to utilize an E3 ligase through its PHD domain for targeting proteins for degradation via ubiquitination highlights MEK kinase-1′s importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis and regulating protein levels within the cell.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent antibody for Western blotting. This product has been independently tested and validated in-house at Kinexus Bioinformatics Corporation as a very potent and highly specific antibody for Western blotting with in diverse human cell lines. It very strongly detects an ~75 kDa protein in immunoblots of a mix of A431, HepG2 and MCF7 cell lysates. This would appear to be a catalytically active fragment of MEKK1.
