SEE ALSO...

MEK-5 Antibody (E-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects MEK-5 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-MEK-5 antibody (E-3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. MEK-5, also known as MAP2K5, plays a crucial role in regulating the ERK5 signaling pathway, which is essential for various cellular processes such as proliferation, differentiation, and survival. MEK-5 is primarily located in the cytoplasm and activates in response to various extracellular signals, leading to nuclear translocation where MEK-5 influences gene expression. This cytoplasmic-to-nuclear movement enables MEK-5 to interact with downstream targets, including ERK5, thereby modulating critical signaling cascades that impact cell fate decisions. Understanding MEK-5 function and localization helps elucidate its role in physiological and pathological processes, including cancer progression and neurodegenerative diseases.

Are there any issues with using sc-365198: MEK-5 (E-3) mouse monoclonal primary antibody on mouse samples?

Asked by: Germaine
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody. Please contact our special orders department for pricing and availability of sc-365198 conjugates.
