    SEE ALSO...

Med29 Antibody (B-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects Med29 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Med29 (B-1) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Med29, also known as mediator complex subunit 29 or IXL (intersex-like), is a crucial component of the mediator complex, which plays a vital role in regulating transcription by serving as a bridge between transcriptional activators and RNA polymerase II. This 200 amino acid nuclear protein is widely expressed in both embryonic and adult tissues, highlighting Med29′s importance in various biological processes. Notably, Med29 has been identified as a novel amplification target gene in pancreatic cancer, underscoring Med29′s potential significance in cancer research and therapy. The gene encoding Med29 is located on human chromosome 19q13.2, a region known for its high gene density, containing approximately 1,400 genes within over 63 million bases. The intricate interactions and regulatory mechanisms involving Med29 are essential for understanding transcriptional control and its implications in health and disease.

I am using the LiCor/Odyssey system. Which secondary antibody do you recommend using with Med29 (B-1): sc-393800?

    Asked by: Randy McDonald
We recommend using one of our our exclusive Mouse IgG Binding Proteins conjugated to CFL 680 or CFL 790. They are suitable for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR/Odyssey and other comparable systems. A complete list of available binding proteins is available on our website here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/browse/support-products-mouse-igg-binding-proteins/_/N-ecrety
