Med25 Antibody (A-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Med25 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Med25 (A-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Med25, also known as mediator complex subunit 25, P78, ACID1, ARC92, or PTOV2, is a crucial 747 amino acid nuclear protein that plays a significant role in transcription regulation within mammalian cells. Med25 functions as a key component of the mediator complex, serving as a vital bridge between transcriptional activators and RNA polymerase II, facilitating Pol II-dependent transcription. Med25 interacts with various transcription factors and coactivators, allowing precise regulation of gene expression in response to cellular signals. Med25 shows ubiquitous expression, with highest levels in spleen, heart, brain, kidney, placenta, and skeletal muscle, existing in five isoforms due to alternative splicing events. This diversity in isoforms may contribute to functional versatility of the mediator complex, highlighting Med25′s importance in transcriptional regulation networks.
