SEE ALSO...

MDMX Antibody (D-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects MDMX protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-MDMX antibody (D-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. MDMX protein plays a crucial role in regulating p53 tumor suppressor pathway, which is vital for maintaining genomic stability and preventing tumorigenesis. MDMX functions by inhibiting p53 degradation mediated by MDM2, thereby stabilizing p53 levels and allowing p53 to perform essential roles in cell cycle regulation and apoptosis. Notably, the gene encoding MDMX, also known as MDM4, is frequently amplified in malignant gliomas, highlighting MDMX significance in cancer biology. MDMX interacts with ARF protein, which sequesters MDMX in the nucleolus, leading to enhanced p53 transactivation and subsequent increase in p53 activity. This intricate interplay between MDMX, MDM2, and p53 underscores MDMX importance in cellular responses to stress and potential as a therapeutic target in cancer treatment.
