    SEE ALSO...

MBLAC2 Antibody (E-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects MBLAC2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MBLAC2 (E-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. MBLAC2, also known as metallo-beta-lactamase domain-containing protein 2, consists of 279 amino acids and is a member of the glyoxalase II family and the metallo-beta-lactamase superfamily. MBLAC2 plays a crucial role in cellular detoxification processes by hydrolyzing toxic metabolites, which is essential for maintaining cellular health and preventing damage from reactive compounds. MBLAC2 binds two zinc ions, which are vital for enzymatic activity, and is encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 5q14.3. This chromosome is significant not only for its size, comprising nearly 6% of the human genome, but also for its association with various genetic disorders, including Cockayne syndrome and familial adenomatous polyposis. MBLAC2′s ability to interact with specific substrates and involvement in critical metabolic pathways underscore its importance in both normal physiology and disease states, making anti-MBLAC2 antibody (E-7) a valuable tool for researchers studying these processes.
